Shrill Boy is an improv team based in New York City. They are all currently studying at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater, but they are so much more than just one thing. Some of them have pets. Two of them are watching Gilmore Girls for the first time! Most of them like karaoke. They love to listen to each other, create weird worlds on stage, and hope you have as much fun watching them as they have with each other.
I love when comedy makes everything feel absurd and when it makes everything make sense. (These characters, however, are the former.)
Co-Writer, Director, and Editor
The Early Afternoon Show is morning show for the un and under-employed of Williamsburg that starts at 1pm.
Picked up for pilot by Ashton Kutcher and Katalyst Films as part of YouTube's original programming initiative.
I met my co-star and co-writer Zane Van Dusen at a femininst punk show and instantly knew we had to write together. For some reason, he seemed to feel the same way. Though we didn't become YouTube stars, his friendship is one of the most important in my life, as you can see by the very grainy video of us performing karoke on New Year's Eve 2012.
We recently co-wrote our first short film which I am hoping to produce later this year.
My directorial debut, The Intern and The Dumpster is a highly stylized, black and white, silent short film, shot on 8mm and set to an original piano score. It tells the charming tale of an intern trying to break into the film business.
