Rachel McKay Steele is a writer and comedian from Charleston, SC, who recently left bagels and Brooklyn for sunny Los Angeles. She has studied comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and has performed improv in festivals around the country. She co-hosted the monthly stand-up show Pay Attention to Me and her solo show, Shiva for Anne Frank, premiered with sold out workshop performances, November 29th and 30th, 2018, at The Pit Loft in New York City.
She has worked on numerous award-winning independent films, from Gayby to creative development for the Oscar- nominated What Happened Miss Simone. As a Senior Copywriter she has written for broadcast, digital, and social media.
Rachel’s current mainstay breakfast sandwich is scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar on a whole-wheat wrap. She is also a cat mom to a rescue calico named Roxy. She is allergic to cats, but they make it work.
